Its been way too long!

WOW...I know all of you have been dying to know what has been going on with me because I havent blogged in almost a month! I have been so busy with classes and helping out at church with so many things...everytime I turn around I have something to do! SO...lets begin with the rundown of my life recently...

School is going good...I am just so ready for summer break! I have not been more excited about a break from school in a long time! haha...I am graduating with my associates degree in business on May 16th. If anyone wants to come see me walk across that stage..let me know! :) haha

I have been so busy with things at the church, from Winter Extreme, to the Lock-In, to Parents Night Outs(which i help with EVERY month), to teaching Sunday School, to Wednesday night Overflow services, to trying to stay active in my college sunday school class...I hardly have found time to breathe! I am not saying these things to complain AT ALL..I absolutely LOVE being involved! But--for a change, I have decided to take a few steps back..and enjoy the benefits on being not so involved..if that makes sense? I have decided to no longer teach Sunday that I can be more involved in my class, and so that I can be fed..because I feel like the only time I have in which I am being taught in through Preacher Steve's sermons..and I need that small group time as well.

I have also been trying out a home group which has been fun! I am hoping that our college class can organize something sort of like that for people my age...even though I do enjoy being around those who I dont usually hang out with! :)

This Saturday, the youth is leaving for the Spring Break trip to Panama City..which I am helping chaperone! I am so exicted about going..I really think that its going to be a great experience for not only the youth..but for me and the other leaders as well!

Well...thats about all I got for now! I will be blogging again soon...sorry its taken me this long!

This ones for the girls...

I wrote this note on Facebook tonight and decided it was pretty good, so I thought I would post it on here.

and a side note...if you have not seen the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" it! It's so good! :)

Now for the note....

This note is for every girl who has ever:

1. Felt like she's not good enough.
2. Been told that she is just not good enough.
3. Been lied to.
4. Been cheated on.
5. Been taken advantage of.
6. Dated a loser.
7. Known a loser.
8. Continues to want the loser.
9. Has been fed a line of crap...something like "you are just what I have been looking for" or my personal favorite " I am so happy that God has put you in my life"
10. Found out he is cheating via MySpace or Facebook.

11. Finally...for any girl who thinks that he is going to change!I have news for all of you...He's NOT going to change. Furthermore, any guy who would tell you that crap is a loser and should be left alone! There are plenty of women out there who would give themselves up in a second for someone that looks like him, who is a smooth talker like him, and someone who pretends to care like he pretends.

Don't let him take advantage over you! Know that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and it DOES NOT involve you being taken advantage of and feeling like you are not good enough! You are a WOMAN OF GOD! Stand up and do what you are called to do! Don't let a man decide how you feel about yourself or what you feel you can accomplish. I believe with my whole heart that God has someone out there for patient and let God work. SO much heartache and heartbreak would be saved if you would just realize that and wait on the Lord.

I forgot to mention....If you are THAT guy that I just talked described...WHAT ARE YOU DOING? How is it fulfilling to treat people the way that you do? You're first to throw around the line "I'm a Christian" because you know thats what we want to hear. But next thing we know, you got your beer goggles on at the bar with some chick that you just met and next thing you know...that Christian thing just went out the window! You are doing nothing but hurting God's cause when you act like lets be real for a minute...

a Christian seeks God's will for their lives, NOT their own. I am 100% sure that God's will is not in the bar or wherever you feel you gotta go to cushion your ego and get attention. God's Will is where he leads you...and he's not going to lead you there. Thats a fact.

Words Of Wisdom.

"When God says no..he has a better yes. Believe it." That is a direct quote from one of my closest friends, Allen McConnell. I figured I better give him credit when credit is due...and say that I have never found anything to be more true until now!

I have been having "relationship" issues...yeah I guess you could call it that. Well at the time I really felt like I was right where I needed to be, and that God was just going to work everything out, and that it was his will for me to be seeing this person. Well God snapped me back into reality REALLLY quick! And, if I wanted to be 100% honest...I felt the whole time I probably should have stayed away and guarded my heart more closely...but I was that stupid girl...for the 3rd(and its safe to say FINAL) time!

Back to that quote...I know that God was telling me no...there were a lot of signs that were telling me no...but i didnt listen. But, now that I have completely given it ALL to God..I KNOW that he has something out there better than me than I could ever plan for myself. It just took me being stupid ONE more time and letting myself be hurt this last time to realize it for myself. Maybe I am the only person who has even just been dumb over a boy...but I doubt that. I think that all of us ladies have that one boy that we are just stupid over...and its by the grace of God that we realize it! I am just so thankful that things have worked out the way they did...yes THANKFUL. I'm not gonna lie...I was hurt in the beginning, but I honestly know that this was God's will. I am thankful that I now have time to devote solely to God and my relationship with him. Without a strong and right relationship with God, I am never going to have peace and without peace...I dont see how I could ever live life to the fullest that God wants for me.

Well..thats all I got for now..I've got a paper to write! :)

God Bless!

These were XTREME Days!!!

Wow! I cannot believe it has been over a WEEK since I returned from the youth mountain trip to Gatlinburg for Xtreme! It was my first trip as a chaperone with the youth...and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it!! It might sound alittle dumb or cliche' but those youth inspire me! They are such a great group of teenagers and they inspire me to be the best Christian, youth leader, student, friend, or whatever else that I am... that I can possibly be. I want to be the kind of youth leader that they can look up to and talk to about their lives and problems or whatever they have going on. I just love them! :)

While we were there, we had the priviledge of hearing Tony Nolan, Josh McDowell, Johnny Huny and Ergun Caner speak. They were all good speakers..but I have to give serious props to Ergun Caner!! He held NOTHING back. He was not politically correct, he wasn't "hyphenated" as he called it...he was real and honest, and spoke the Truth. Some people were probably offended by what he said...but in my opinion, if you are offended by the Word of God, then you have some serious soul searching to do! So, if you are reading definiately need to go to and type "ergun caner" in the pulls up about 5 different videos from XTreme 09...this is the sermon we heard! I recommend you listening to it!

One of the last points that he made was this....there is no room for "Christians" who are not completely sold out for God. So as I end this blog, thats my question for you...are YOU completely sold out for God?

Scandals and Animals

Here lately I have been watching a lot of Seinfeld...which, in my opinion, is one of the funniest shows...period. If you don't watch it..I am definately promoting it right now. haha. Anyways, the title of my blog today comes from an episode I watched a few nights ago...where Kramer sets up the set of the Merv Griffin Talk Show in his apartment...just too funny!

About two weekends ago the College and Career sunday school class got together for our Christmas party! We all had a real good time hanging out and playing the dirty santa game with gag gifts. Some of the gag gifts ranged from gummy candy to racoon urine (i know, gross) to exlax! hahaha

And then this past weekend me and my good friends Kelli, Allen, Stephanie, Thomas and Kalon got together Sunday night for a Christmas dinner after church! We had homemade subs..which were great! We also watched a Christmas episode of Friends..they were all surprised because i informed them that I have never actually sat down and watched a full episode of the show...therefore we watched one.

We are all leaving on Saturday for Winter Extreme! We will be going to Gatlinburg, a place i love, and I will get to spend 3 days with some of the most awesome people I know...the Overflow Youth Group!!! I love everyone in the youth if you are reading this....I LOVE YOU! You guys are awesome!! :)

I know this blog was kind of random...but I wasnt really sure what else to talk about, and it had been a while since my last until next time...
